Marketing and Communications Manager

San Antonio Museum of Art seeks a Marketing and Communications Manager.

This position promotesthe San Antonio Museum of Art’s collection, programs, activities, exhibitions,and facilities; assists with marketing initiatives to favorably position andbrand the Museum and its programs; and facilitates audience, membership, andvisitor growth in support of the Museum’s mission and goals. The Marketing  and Communications Manager isalso responsible for building ongoing public interest and support for theMuseum though community outreach, partnerships, and collaborations. 

The Marketing and Communications Manager is also responsible for setting project management schedules, including media planningand placement, design and production of materials, deliverables, and reviewsfor parties internal and external to the San Antonio Museum of Art, and ensuringthat campaigns remain on track to meet strategic objectives. This person willserve as liaison between membership and marketing teams and to assist withmembership acquisition marketing efforts, annual fund, and support routineemail communications to members. Inter- and cross-departmental collaborationand external relationship management with media partners, vendors, agencies,and designers is integral to the Marketing and Communications Manager’srole.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3 to 5 years progressively responsible marketing oradvertising experience

 

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or liberal arts

 

Experience in planning and conducting marketing and communicationscampaigns

 

Demonstrated experience developing and managing integratedmulti-channel marketing plans

 

Excellent, demonstrated written, oral, interpersonal, and communication skills (including editing ability).Must be able to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in adiverse community

 

An ability to work flexibly and collaboratively and to performeffectively in a fast-paced environment with a high level of creativity andself-direction

 

Genuine interest in the visual arts 

  

Knowledge of digital marketing including social media

 

Experience in tourism development an asset

 

Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills

 

Adobe Suite, Altru or database software, Google Ads, and emailmarketing experience a plus
