San Antonio Museum of Art (SAMA) seeks an Assistant Registrar to join our Collections Department. This position will assist with the daily operations of managing and preserving the museum’s permanent collection, loans, temporary exhibitions, and related activities. The person best suited for this position requires a high level of discipline, a successful multi-tasker, attention to detail, and professional judgment. Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Fine Art, Art History, Museum Studies or a related field and preferably two years of museum experience required; should have excellent interpersonal skills, computer and office skills, ability to work with databases and capacity for detailed data entry work, extremely detail oriented and able to meet deadlines. Foreign language skills is a plus.  Prior experience with art objects and dealing with professional museum staff, donors, lenders and the public is preferred.
